Semiconductors are an important element of robotics, the “brains” behind modern electronics, embedded in all of our electronic devices.

While Australia does research in the field and local companies that design semiconductors, we have never developed a semiconductor industry and rely on importing microchips fabricated elsewhere. NSW are looking to change the dynamics and increase Australia’s economic complexity by creating a semiconductor sector service bureau “S3B”.
